What we do

Thenak lets owners and agents advertise property for rent or sale, and lets visitors contact them directly. We are not a party to any deal, we do not own the properties and we do not handle payments.

Posting rules

• Only advertise a real property that you own or are allowed to rent or sell.
• Give the correct type, price, location and contact number.
• Use your own photos of this property.
• One ad per property. Do not post the same property again; renew it instead.
• Ads are checked before they go online and stay up for 60 days unless you renew them.

Not allowed

• Fake ads, scams, or asking for money before a visit.
• Misleading prices or photos.
• Anything illegal, offensive or discriminatory.
• Other people's photos or personal data without permission.
• Spam, automated posting or copying content from the site.

Our rights

We may refuse, edit the category of, hide or remove any ad, and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules or the law, with or without notice. We may share information with the police or courts when the law requires it.

Your responsibility

Deals are between you and the other person. Check the property, the documents and the person before you pay. We are not responsible for the accuracy of ads or for any loss from a deal made through the site, as far as the law allows.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
